To witness the praxis, station yourself outside the Driving Test Centre, Elgar Road South, Reading, at about 1140 tomorrow morning, as No Good Boyo turns up for his driving test.
On entering the Palace of the Caesars in fallen Constantinopole, Mehmed II is said to have recalled the words of Ferdowsi:
"The spider holds the veil in the palace of Caesar,
"And the owl stands sentinel in the watch-tower of Afrasiab".
Or perhaps he just had a vision of No Good Boyo's car.

About time too. Some ladies are just born to be driven.
True. Even so, if he ever passes I'm still taking taxis.
I am thrilled at your entry to blogdom, Mrs Boyo! The Ottomans were no friends of gorillas - I feel we have much more in common with the Welsh. If Byzantine ranks had been stiffened by the Men of Harlech, Constantinople would surely be in Christian hands and Mr Boyo might even have passed his test.
Welcome, Mr Bananas. To quote Mayakovsky, "I like the grandeur of your plans" (люблю ваших планов громадьё). Welshmen might have stemmed the Turkish tide, but whether Christianity would have fared much better is a matter for informed doubt.
What cars is the Boyo drivings? I assumes its the one with all they dents.
Byard, to paraphrase our American cousins, what part of "I failed my driving test" did you fail to understand. Ah - my apologies! Driving tests are, of course, something that happen to other people.
Well, you still hads ter drive a car ter teck the test, eh bor?
Mine's a Ford Mondeo three-wheeler with sixkids and half a ton o'scrapmetal in the back.
Byard, feel free to discuss motor mechanics on your own "blog", or that of No Good Boyo. This site is reserved for noting accord with my thoughts and actions. The same goes for your inquiries about tarring our drive and swapping our child for one of your own.
Right - ho yer worship. God bless, etc.
Lucky heather?
